airport, snow coming down there also wet runways tell the story there now. good news, no significant problems reported and certainly no delays here. >> "action news" reporter annie mccormick is live in east call intownship where they have seen more than a few snowflakes tonight. first, we begin with meteorologist cecily tynan she has details at the big board. ces. >> shirleen, brian, typically we see first snowfall of the season early december. we're running a few weeks ahead of schedule. storm tracker 6 live double scan showing white, snow, you can see how the shade of gray across the northwest suburbs is the area showing snow falling 4:00 this afternoon. it's lighter now with drier air working in. the heaviest bands of snow are across south jersey. especially burlington county now. you can see the shade of purple. that's steadier snow between route 7 0rbgs i 195 and new jersey turnpike. georgetown, wrightstown, brownsmill, dealing with steady

snow moving through philadelphia. south of philadelphia a little mix. good news, the snow, most of it is melting on the roads and it's not much in most areas. mount holly trace of snow. outside 6abc studio in the grassy surfaces .1". exton .4. early season snow elevation has a huge impact on how much accumulates. west call intownship 1.5". temperatures will be dropping below freezing in a lot of suburbs as this precipitation tapers off. all of this should be clearing the coast 3:00 in the morning. winds pick up out of the northwest at 8 to 16 miles an hour. this will dry most of the roads

by gun fire in south philadelphia last night. one of them died. 35-year-old wayne jones was killed with one shot to the head. investigators and people who knew him said he was not targeted and was only on the 600 block of winston avenue telephone visit friends. >> the target did not get hit. >> that's always the case. >> other victim is veteran septa employee. 56-year-old craig washington. he was also caught in the hail of bullets and survived. police made no arrests in the double shooting and neighbors blame influx of loitering young people armed with guns and attitudes. >> there are more charges against trooper killing suspect eric frein. he appeared at a court hearing today via video with two additional counts of terrorism filed against him. authorities say frein told him he wanted to wake people up and call the deadly ambush an

assassination he was already charged with first degree murder in death of corporal ryan dixon. prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. >> delvin barnes was indicted on federal kidnapping charge and police are calling him a career criminal. he's the suspect accused of abducting carlesha free man gaither germantown november 2 they rescued her three days later in maryland. a bail hearing for barnes is now set for tomorrow. meanwhile city council paid tribute today to the philadelphia place detectives who helped track barnes down and bring gamer home safely. >> she's doing well. she's still a little distraught but doing well. and i want to thank everybody for what they d police department, fbi, every type of agency. >> gaither's grandfather spoke

it's really not pulling down that cold air. so this is what annie mccormick has been calling starting snow. part of reason why, it's not accumulating on the ground. it's temperature. philadelphia, 35 degrees. millville 36. wilmington 35. reading 34. and trenton 33 degrees. but the winds are are beginning to pick up so the wind chill currently makes it feel like 28 in philadelphia. it feels like 29 wilmington and 29 dover and 29 trenton and we'll have breezy conditions through the overnight hours and tomorrow. satellite 6 along with action radar showing what's moving through. it's not a big storm system. it's a cold front just been able to pull up enough moisture with cold air to create snow showers. it will continue to press towards dmooingt overnight hours and everything will be clearing the coast by about 3bg in the morning, 2:30, 3:00, moved off. still a lot of clouds. by the morning commute, even a clouds are out of hereby 8:00 in the morning. bright sunshine.

everywhere we've been. i did speak with penndot. they told me in five-county area they dmovr district 6 our area they will have 3 trucks out overnight. which is relatively normal. they say this time of year is all the penndot staff is on call prepared for any change in weerming and they'll put down salt as needed. again that will depend on whether or not those roads ice up. that's the latest in east caln township, annie mccormick for "action news" at 10 on phl17. >> nice to see green grass still any thank you. >> new tonight a man was shot in a parking lot of a kfc restaurant. this was scene along intersection of maros and ogletown road in newark, delaware after 7:00 someone open fired here hitting 20-year-old victim several times. he has since died at the hospital. two vehicles, light colored suv and four-door sedan were seen fleeing the scene. aat this time police have not made any arrests.

>> a 62-year-old woman was beaten to death in west philadelphia and police are trying to get to the bottle of what really happened. investigators say 62-year-old sandra barly's roommate called police around 3:00 this morning claiming three men broke in, beats barly and turned on her. detectives found what they believe are murder weapons nearby. bath and extension cord and no sign of forced entry and poking holes in roommate story. >> there's been a lot of violence between the two of them and female we have upstairs has been agress or. >> miss sandra is sweet lady used to sit on porch and mind business and speak to you and everything. so that happened? she didn't deserve this. >> as this late hour no charges have been filed in barly's death. >> trenton police shot and killed a man this morning around 7 a.m. two officers responded to reports of a man with a gun on wilson street police say the

suspect darnell stafford opened fire on the officers before they got out of patrol car. they returned fire. stafford was taken to the hospital where he later died the officers were not hurt. >> check out this crazy video. a man dipping at the mcdonald's on 2800 block of grays ferry avenue and an employee told him dining room was closing. the man started yelling at the worker and followed her outside. as the woman turned to walk away the man stabbed her in the back. she recovering. police still have not caught the man who attacked her. >> the taj mahal will shut dpoorz on december 12 ft. casino main union does not drop appeal of court ordered savings plan trump entertainment notified gaming and enforcement today of plan of shut down. union is appealing bankruptcy court order that terminated the contract, health insurance and pensions. if casino closes 3,000 employees
